Fleur Roots began in a garden that was already full of life, love, and a story worth continuing.

Laura grew flowers here season after season, choosing the seeds and varieties she loved, tending them as they grew, and sharing what bloomed through her little roadside stand. Her flowers made their way into homes, onto kitchen tables, and into the hands of people throughout the community.

In the fall of 2025, as one growing season came to an end, Laura was already looking toward the next. In what would become her final post about the stand, she wrote about “looking at seeds to order for next year and thinking of all the possibilities they will bring.”

She never got to see that next growing season.

When Laura passed, we didn’t want that season to be the last.

So we decided to keep growing.

Fleur Roots is our way of continuing the season she was already dreaming about — planting from the seeds and flowers she chose, tending the garden she loved, and carrying forward the simple joy she found in sharing a bouquet with someone else. As the garden grows, we’ll add new flowers and make it our own, but its roots will always begin with her.

That is where the name Fleur Roots comes from. Fleur means flower, for what grows here and what Laura loved to share. Roots is about everything underneath — the garden she created, the family and memories tied to this place, and the foundation she left for us to grow from.

Every growing season will look a little different. Some flowers will be ones Laura planted herself. Others will be new varieties grown from the garden she inspired. But the roots remain.
